A few pointers to consider when booking a Wedding Photographer.

When Should I book?
Good Wedding Photographers are busy so book early, you should start your search for a photographer about 12 months before the big day and make a booking at least 6 months in advance - particularly if your wedding is during the peak Wedding season of June-August,  good photographers will only cover one Wedding per day therefore you need to book ahead.

What should I look for when choosing a Photographer?
Ask to see an example of a full wedding album as well as the "best of" portfolio, this way you will see how your album could potentially look. Make sure that the photographs are the work of the photographer who will be taking your wedding pictures and not just a selection of the best from everyone.
The Big Image works will show you a mixed portfolio demonstrating the different styles of photography and a complete album which is finished in a traditional or contemporary style. All the photographs we show you have been taken by either Mark or Phil, both photographers will be present on your day. All day, covering all aspects of your wedding day.

What Style of photography should we have?
The choice is yours
As there are two photographers present on the day we are able to capture a mixture of photographic styles and even if you prefer the reportage style of photography we recommend that you take a little time to have a small number of formal shots to give you the maximum choice.
If you are not sure of which style you would prefer here is a brief explanation of each -
Reportage - this involves the photographer taking pictures of the events as they unfold during the day without any intervention to pose people. It has it's origins in photo-journalism and is perfect for couples who want natural, un-posed photographs of themselves enjoying their special day.
Traditional - This involves the photographer setting up formal shots of the Bride, Groom and Bridal party. It is good to have a few group shots set up in this way as this adds to the record of your day. It does not necessarily mean  rigid line-ups of family and guests, in fact many "natural" looking images are in actual fact staged.
Then of course there is our "off the wall" style which is unique for those who want something really different, an approach that reflects your own distinctive attitude to love and life.

Will we get written confirmation?
Once you have made your booking and placed your deposit with us we will provide you with a written receipt outlining all the items you will receive, this will include the specific number of prints, the exact album and cover choice as well as any additional extras.
